school

It seems that every science test I have gets harder and harder and my teacher seems to like the fact that we study like crazy and lots people don't do very well. Saying it's quite annoying is putting it rather softly, it's more like a huge pain in the ass, and stresses me to the point where I hate science. Anyway, I have four more tests coming up this week: two in french (a test tomorrow, and then a placement test on wednesday), one in history (on wednesday), and one in algebra (thursday). UGH. And since I have not gotten any comments/posts, I have decided to rather keep a journal/online style and regular diary. I don't know, but it is quite liberating to let out my rants and whatever I feel like saying, even if no one answers. Back to homework...and the reality that I have homework to do.

Great.

It's raining more now.

ugh. heels.

For some really strange reason I often times feel uncomfortable in heels. No, not as in I can't walk in them, just they feel weird, as I haven't worn them lately. I wore my heeled oxfords quite often with tights or high socks in the winter, as well as my leather ankle boots, and regular pumps. How are heels relevant to now? Well, tomorrow my french class is going on a day trip and we're going to a museum and then to a French bistro. I'm pretty excited, because it's an excuse to miss school and hang out with friends, although it's supposed to be "educational"...Right. Anyway, I was planning my outfit ahead, because I've been taking to long getting dressed in the morning. I tried on my black ankle boots with a pencil skirt and a top, and bare legs, and began feeling incredibly strange. This may just be something temporary, but I couldn't help but rant about it. What the hell is wrong with me? I'm dismayed to say I have no clue. Maybe it's the fact that I've worn tights nearly every day this winter, and still getting used to the bare legs thing, or maybe its the combination of that, heels, and hormones? God knows, I don't know. Oh shit...I'm starting to sound like my health teacher.

In Question: gold lame shorts

I've been in question about these shorts for quite some time now...and might just cave in and buy them. Yes, this questionable item is the gold lame' shorts from American Apparel. And yes, I am aware that the whole "lame'" trend already happened and might be slightly dead, but I don't really care. Sorry for all the babbling, I often times do this so I can sort my thoughts and see the pros and cons of an item.

Deliberation: Buying

animal crackers

I've always had a thing for animal crackers, or anything in animal form (like in 2nd grade i owned a "frog phone", pretty much a limited too phone in the shape of a frog..yes a frog.). I remember being 5 and walking around with my barnum's animal cracker box, eating an elephant, then a tiger, and the hippos. You might think I'm a crazy person who reminisces about childhood foods, but actually, my mom bought me a box of animal crackers today and it made me smile. I know, I am so cool.

Anyway, to more relevant (i guess) stuff. I thought I would post some of my recent purchases. The lighting sucks due to the fact that I took the pictures on my macbook and its dark outside...

The pictures include orange shorts, baggy pants which look good with the bottoms rolled up, gladiators, a really cool bag with a crazy design, and a stripe top from h&m. The orange shorts and baggy pants i got at a secondhand store owned by adorable and very stylish old ladies. I found them in the bargain basket in the back where everything inside is...wait for it...two bucks! The gladiators I got at h&m, along with the striped top, and I also got a light orange tee (not pictured). The awesome bag my best friend Jared bought for me as a birthday present while we were at someone else's birthday party where the birthday girl didn't show up...Strange, I know. But the bag is awesome, I love it, and need to wear it out ASAP!

I also recently got a pair of khaki's at a vintage store for $5, I don't own any khaki's and they were sort of an impulse buy, but I'm sure I will find plenty of ways to wear them. Other recent buys include big sunglasses, red aviator-esque sunglasses, a black feather vintage-looking hat from Urban Outfitters, more grey high socks, white ked sneakers and other stuff that I am unable to remember at the moment.

hail to the cheese. (as my friend caitlin would put it)

if i could snap my fingers

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to just snap my fingers and get whatever I wanted. At times it sounds appealing but more than likely I would get tired of it, but who knows. Well, anyway, here are some of the things I really want to get, and hope to be able to get in the immediate future.

Among other things.

you must eat so many lemons because you are so bitter

Hi and welcome to my blog! I really love fashion, and like to think i know something about it. I like dressing up and experimenting with my style, but don't take it too seriously. Fashion is about having fun isn't it? I really like to write, love french, and watching trash TV for fun and gabbing about it with friends. I love old movies, walking around, hanging out with friends, swimming, bike riding, parties, traveling, my friends, and family. I am honest, sarcastic a lot of the time, and pretty laid-back. I'm not completely sure what this blog is going to be about but it might include outfits, runway collections, inspiration, rants, and whatever else I feel like sharing. If nothing else, I may just keep a style diary...but like I said, I don't know yet. Stay tuned and find out.
